Fewer pauses, tighter pacing

The voice waits too long between lines: tighten the film so the narration keeps going.

If the voice stops and waits while the screen catches up, the film feels slow. Ask the director to tighten the pacing.

The prompt

Prompt
The pauses between the spoken lines are too long. Tighten the pacing so the voice keeps going.

What changes

  • The scenes follow the voice more closely, so there is less silence between lines.
  • Nothing that is said is cut. If you want fewer words too, say so: "and cut the narration by a third".
TipIf one moment drags, give its time instead: “At 0:24 the pause is too long, keep the rest.”
